For Good.

At 1am on the 8th of August, 2010, The Silent Trio Saga was completed. Finally - done for good. No more stories, no more plot arcs. Harry, Sally and Hermione, and all their friends, family and the rest, can walk off in to the sunset, pleased and proud of the job they've done.

It's taken up 4 1/2 years of my life, and is the single biggest work I have ever done (I haven't done an exact word count, but my guess is at least 300,000 to 500,000 at least).

Nine stories (ten if you include "Deathly Silence!), a dozen or so plot arcs (one that runs from start to finish throughout the entire Saga), four different fanfiction sites and more characters than you can shake a stick at.

But now - now it's done. And I can concentrate on all the unwritten stories I have yet to write.

Won't that be fun?

The 9th Floor Continues

I have started posting the Web Serial of The 9th Floor over at http://angelholme.wordpress.com/, but don't get too over excited yet. There is only an introduction and a disclaimer, because so far I haven't actually got to the plotting stage.

But hey - it's a start.

Naughty Bear and Harry Potter

So in about twelve days time, two new games come out for the XBox 360 - Lego Harry Potter and Naughty Bear. I will leave it to you to look up what these games are about (but if you can't figure out Lego Harry Potter, you really need to get out more) but there is a good chance that when they get delivered, my fiction writing might take a bit of a down turn.

So between now and then, my plan is to update The Western Sky with 3x03, and hopefully post The Princess Husband. That is proving problematic because the formatting is a nightmare, and I am not enjoying it that much. But I have a whole day off tomorrow, so you never know........

Meanwhile, Bedtime Stories is going quite well.

Bedtime Stories

So - the long awaited cross-over between The Western Sky and The White Rose has pretty much died a death. I can't figure out the last Act, so instead I am going in a different direction.

Jack And The Beanstalk, Hansel and Gretal and Little Red Riding Hood - three bedtime stories featuring various characters from The Western Sky as they haven't been seen before (at least in The Silent Trio Saga or any of my other stories. I can't promise no one else has done it!)

Hopefully once I get that done, I can get on to Arc 2 of the final series, before ending up with "The Wrap Party" and then - finally - "The Western Sky - The Movie" (aka "Foundations")

I got distracted writing

Over the past month or so I have failed to do two things, but managed to do one, so it comes out about level.

I still haven't sorted out the formatting for Twilight Over Ingleside and The Princess' Husband - I think that is going to be put off until 14th of June, because that seems like a suitable day.

I also kind of failed with The Red Curtains Trilogy. A story about the life and times of Albus Dumbledore sounds good in theory, but honestly - there isn't a lot to write about in the early years. And writing the end of the second Dark War (or at least the end of the Voldemort war) from Dumbledore's perspective is also pretty dull.

Silver Linings is on hiatus, but that isn't in the list of failed things, or the list of things I have done. It's just got put on pause because I have actually gone back to The Western Sky, Series 3, and I am up to Episode 3x07. The first half of the series (3x01 to 3x06) is complete, and the first plot act has come to an end.

3x08 is a cross over with another series (The White Rose, a science fiction series set in the world of Elite, some 77 thousand years after The Western Sky ends), and requires a little bit of rewriting - the original plot for Act 3 is going to be entirely replaced with an extended version of Acts 1&2.

I should also mention that it is essentially a clip show, but one I have been trying to write since Series 1.

Then comes the second half of Series 3, with the second major plot arc of the series being kicked off in style.

And that's pretty much where things are up to.

The Red Curtains Trilogy

The Red Curtains Trilogy is a series of stories in three arcs ("In The Beginning", "The Long Game" and "End Game", though the names are not final at the moment), that tell the life story of Albus Dumbledore, through his eyes, the eyes of a character named Selenes and through the eyes of Tom Riddle.

However, it is also a cross-over with the world of Twin Peaks. (Though obviously only the spiritual part of that world, since for most of Dumbledore's life, almost all the characters in Twin Peaks hadn't been born).

The stories don't cover all of Albus' life, but instead moves to the important parts (his early home life, until he finishes Hogwarts, then Tom Riddle's time at school and the first of the dark wars until the first fall of Voldemort, then the second dark war from Harry's return to the world until the end of the war.

Unusually, these stories won't focus on Harry or the other main characters - instead it will be Dumbledore, Selenes (who is Selenes? Well - you'll figure it out eventually) and Tom.

Currently the second arc is being plotted out, and I have more or less reached the point where Dumbledore and Grindlewald are fighting.

So - this is a huge, long term story that will not be done any time soon, but should be fun.

Catch Up Time!

What's been going on? I'm glad you asked.

The Princess Husband is complete, pending proof reading. It ran out to 108 pages, and was finished in 14 days. I am pretty proud of the way it has turned out, but it will be a while before it is posted because I have to figure out a formatting standard, then convert it. (Celtx doesn't save to HTML, only to PDF).

The Wish is a new short story, all about Harry making a wish not to be a wizard, and the results that come from that wish. It was finished tonight, and posted to HP Fandom. It will come to ForeverFandom in the next day or so, and ArchiveOfOurOwn when it speeds up a little.

Silver Linings is on hiatus, because of ScriptFrenzy and The Wish, but has been fully plotted out.

The Western Sky, Series 3 is also on hiatus, because of all the other things I am writing. It will no doubt get started again soon enough. Possibly after ScriptFrenzy ends and Princess' Husband is posted.

Twilight Over Ingleside - Episode 2 is done, but the formatting is all over the place (Celtx again), and until I can sort it out, it can't be posted.

So - that's it. Y'all are up to date.
